Why We Started Dragdropdo in 2024?

dragdropdo [verb]: the act of doing things easily. Usage: “Need to do a file task? Just dragdropdo it!”.

Welcome to our very first blog post. As one of the founders, I’m excited to share our journey and the vision behind creating dragdropdo to help solve a very common pain point in today’s ‘World Wide Web (WWW)’ landscape—File conversions and compression. As the name suggests, We wanted to make this platform as easy as Drag and drop.

The Lightbulb Moment

So, what sparked the idea for dragdropdo at our home in Gurgaon, India? Well… After chatting with a couple of folks including some Chartered Accountants (CAs), we realized everyday folks who often find themselves wrestling with file conversions and compressions, we realized there was no one single place to handle these tasks. There are multiple sites to help solve these plethora of file formats but nothing in a single platform.

We thought, “why not create a one-stop website where everyone can easily compress and convert multiple files—be it PDFs, images, audio or video—all in one place?” And that's how dragdropdo was born in 2024!
