OPUS
Opus is the open audio codec standardized as RFC 6716 in 2012, designed for both speech and music at very low bitrates. WhatsApp voice notes, Discord, Zoom and WebRTC calls use it, and it always decodes at 48 kHz. Browsers and Android play .opus files; many car stereos, older apps and editors don't.
