EPS
Encapsulated PostScript was defined by Adobe in the late 1980s as a way to place vector artwork in page layouts. EPS files hold PostScript drawing commands, a bounding box and often a small preview picture. Logos, clip art and print artwork are still delivered as EPS, but browsers, phones and most apps can't display it.
