USE CASES
When one document works better than a stack of files.
Send one attachment instead of ten
Combine invoices, receipts or reports into a single PDF for an email or client portal.
Submit a complete application
Put a CV, cover letter, transcripts and certificates into the one file most job and university portals ask for.
Assemble a contract pack
Join the agreement, schedules and signed pages so everyone reviews the same complete document.
Close the month in finance
Merge statements and invoices into one file for bookkeeping, audits or your accountant.
Build a course pack
Combine lecture notes, handouts and papers into one PDF that students read in order.
Rejoin scanned pages
Scanners often save each page as its own file. Merge them back into one document.
Create a project report
Merge the cover page, chapters and appendices exported from different apps.
Print in one go
Send one file to the printer so every page comes out in the right order.
Archive a case or project
Keep every document for a client, claim or property together in one record.
Share a portfolio
Combine design work, case studies and references into one file you can send with a link.
SUPPORTED FILES
Start with the documents you already have. You don't need a separate tool for each one.
Only merge documents you own or have permission to share.
Add as many PDFs as you need. Each one can be up to 20GB.
Scanned PDFs merge like any other. Their pages stay as images, so text is only searchable if it was in the original.
Convert them first with DOCX to PDF, then merge the results.
Turn them into PDFs with JPG to PDF or PNG to PDF, then add them to the merge.
Remove the password with Unlock PDF first, using the password you already have.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Most issues come from the source files, not the merge.
01
The merged file follows the order on screen. Drag files into place before you merge, or number the file names so they sort correctly.
02
It may be password-protected or damaged. Unlock it first, or open it on your device and save a fresh copy as PDF.
03
Most email services cap attachments at around 20 to 25MB. Run the file through Compress PDF to shrink it.
04
Merging keeps every page at its original size, so a Letter page next to an A4 page stays that way.
05
Some interactive elements may not carry over. Flatten forms in the original file before merging if you need to keep what's been filled in.
06
The source was probably a scan. Merging doesn't change whether text can be selected or searched.
