HOW IT WORKS

Convert PPTX to JPG in three steps

Three steps, no account, nothing to install.

01

Add your PPTX

Drag and drop or upload the PowerPoint file. PowerPoint shows and templates saved with a .pptx name work too.

02

Render the slides

Keep JPG as the output format and start the conversion. Each slide is rendered as its own image, in slide order.

03

Download the images

A one-slide deck gives a single JPG. Longer decks download as a ZIP of name-1.jpg, name-2.jpg and so on.

PPTX

PPTX is the modern Microsoft PowerPoint presentation format based on Office Open XML. It can contain slides, text, images, charts, tables, media, and speaker notes.

JPG

JPG is the common three-letter file extension for JPEG-compressed images. It is the usual choice for photographs and is supported by nearly every browser, phone, design app, and content platform.

FILE FORMATS

PPTX and JPG compared

SOURCE

PPTX

PPTX has been PowerPoint's default since 2007. It is a ZIP of XML files describing slides, layouts, themes, pictures, charts and notes, standardized as Office Open XML. PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides and LibreOffice Impress all open it.

TARGET

JPG

The format every phone, browser, printer kiosk and social site accepts. JPG compresses photos by discarding detail the eye is unlikely to notice, so a 24 MP picture fits in a few megabytes. It has no transparency and only 8 bits per color channel, and every re-save loses a little more quality.

USE CASES

Use Cases for PPTX to JPG

Practical workflows where PPTX to JPG conversion is useful.

logo

Post slides on social media

Share a key slide or a whole deck as images on LinkedIn, Instagram or X, where pictures show right in the feed.

logo

Add slides to a blog or help article

Embed slide images in a web page so readers see them right away instead of downloading a PowerPoint file.

logo

Send slides in chat

Drop slide images into Slack, Teams or WhatsApp so colleagues can read them in the thread on any phone.

logo

Open a deck without PowerPoint

See what a presentation contains on a computer or tablet that has no presentation software installed.

logo

Make video frames and course thumbnails

16:9 slides come out at 1920x1080, the size of a Full HD video, so they drop straight into a video editor or a course platform as title cards.

logo

Put slides into a report or handout

Place slide images in a Word report, a PDF handout or a newsletter where an embedded deck would not work.

logo

Share slides without your notes

Speaker notes are not part of the images, so you can send the slides to a client without exposing what you planned to say.

logo

Review backup slides

Hidden slides are included, so reviewers see the appendix and backup slides along with the ones that were shown.

logo

Show slides on a screen or photo frame

Load the images onto a TV, digital signage player or photo frame that shows pictures but can't open presentations.

logo

Keep a snapshot of each version

Save a picture of every slide before the deck changes again, so you can look back at what each version contained.

TROUBLESHOOTING

JPGs Not Looking Right?

Slides are rendered by LibreOffice, which explains most differences.

01

A font looks different

Fonts the server doesn't have are replaced, so line breaks can shift.

02

Speaker notes are missing

Each image shows only what's on the slide.

03

A video shows one frame

Embedded videos appear as the poster picture PowerPoint stored.

04

A linked picture is missing

Only content stored inside the file is drawn. Embed linked pictures first.

05

Animations show their end state

Each slide is rendered once, so animated items appear as they would at the end.

06

It says the file can't be opened

Password-protected or damaged decks can't be rendered. Save an unprotected copy.
